Well, it looks like you're not get much in the way of a friedly reception. I'm not sure what your problem is but there's a good chance it's happened to someone else, so search the forum, see what you can find and if you're still struggling, ask again, and I'll try and help you out.

But as has been said, if your box has had a kill signal, it's useless I'm afraid.

HTH

Reading this thread again, I'm pretty disgusted at the way you've been treated. You've been courteous, and obviously you've tried to give as much relevant info as possible, but you've been given a worse reception than Steven Spielberg would get at Bin Ladins birthday party.

Maybe everyone has sand in their vaginas tonight, because normally we're not this miserable. But apologies for the tone of the replies so far - Techwatch is normally much more friendly than this.

I agree and I disagree with what you say there mate. The OP appears to be a n00b and I don't think any comments made in this thread are personal. All people are suggesting is that he uses the search function first before asking questions. You must have seen yourself, the amount of new members that take a dive at the deep end and ask questions before searching. I apologise if I come across as biased but that's just my opinion which everybody is entitled to have .

Hey there again guys,
i appologise if i seemed a little rude, i just didnt like the fact i got posted a two word reply from what i believe was someone who is well recognised and established on this forum as giving advice from his status of his profile!
before i posted a thread, i did look to see if there was a solution and perhaps i didnt make my search specific enough but i didnt manage to find the help i required and that is why i resulted in setting up a thread offering detailed information of my equipment and asked specific questions to the best of my ability.

if you werent happy on answering my question i would of just appreciated a, sorry but im unable to answer your question at this time and possible suggested a link to refer me to a page where i could possibly find a solution.

clearly my manners werent sufficient enough in encouraging a helpful reply.

sorry to cause you guys any problems...

Take these things with a pinch of salt , it was mearly a kick up the arse for you to do a little searching , not a personal attack . Personally as i said earlier , i think you got here too late.

Don't go wasting your money buying modding equipment only to find your card has been hit with the dreaded Bk , if your after a little free tv while it lasts get your self a dbox or eurovox etc.. there kicking around on ebay cheap and are well supported on here .

The modem in your box doesnt work now, if you look in our downloads site , you will find the link for other cable tv in the private fta section, you will find a tut, you can get the boxkey from the chip but its not easy, you will have a false boxkey on the card now, these arn't the best boxes to mod really, you have probably only got a few weeks left till the new encryption comes out so its probably not worth your while spending money on equipment, you would need a card programmer and a willem programmer for the chip and an unlooper or a funcard.
