Hey There Guys,
Im New To This Website So Apologies In Advanced If I Post In The Wrong Section!

Im Wondering If I Can Have Some Advice Please.
I've Had A Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4200dvb From Virgin Media Kept Away For A Period Of Time As I Ended My Subscription For It As A Second Box And They Didnt Request For It To Be Returned So It Was Kept.

I Recently Hunted It Out And Tried To Connect It Up To The Splitter (Got Broadband!) and So I Connected It All Together and Put In My Ethernet Cable From Router Into It As I Didnt Know It Had An Interface For Ethernet (Just Out Of Curiousity) When It Started Up, It Updated And Then After It Finished, Its Continued To Reboot and Just Loads RF Numbers On The Front LCD Panel. Also The Modem Light Flashes. (Theres A Smart Card Still In The Box And After I Ended The Subscription A While Ago I Was Still Able To Get The Basic Channels).

So Yeah Its Not Working, And I Think It May Be Cause It Updated.
Is There Anything I Can Do Such As Changing The Update Back? Or Is It That I Need A New Card For The Box etc.?

Hey, Just To Update,
I Took The Coxail Cable Out Of The Box, Turned It Off And Then On, Then Off, Put The Coxail Back In And The Box Loaded.
It Had A Message On Screen About Needing A New Card Or Something, I Pressed Okay And Its Just Rebooting On And Off

well as u didnt read, and u put it on the feed, u prob ****** it mate, as the card had to be paired and that you put it on the feed, a kill hit would of been sent to it as you cancelled your sub

so you have got urself a doorstop

heyy buddy, thanks for that message.
is there anything i can do other than get a new subscription from them which would cost me per monthly?
i heard something about a funcard and all this netid stuff or what ever, do you know how i go about getting one of these and info on em etc please?

my box is sitting without the coxail and not connected to tv right now and the led is saying RF:52 D:

Sorry mate you turned up to the party too late , All the beers been drunk , the DJ is packing up his gear and all the girls are taken.

No free sky and free virgin has stopped in Leeds, the rest of the country should be soon.

ive managed to get a diagnostic screen up is that any help to you guys
oh and can you not change anything from the ethernet port like settings ?
