hi guys im looking for some help with my ex5100. i have downloaded the latest firmware for vox and when connected to rs232 port it says 'no box detected' would i like to updte from boot mode. bt still the reciever wont respond. ive tried sarting the download to box then powering box up seveal times and still nothing. from browsing all the forums i have came to the conclusion it must be a clone. if so is it possible to flash a cloned 5100

You need to make sure that you are using the correct COMM PORT.
Go into PC device manager and selcet COMM PORT 1.

i had same problem with ex5100 connecting to my pc - so i bought a rs232 to usb for my laptop, included was the driver disk, problem solved maplins £5.00, even though i no a null modem rs232 is a £1.00 off ebay
