EX5100 recording probs help please

hi everyone this is my first post here. just had a EX5100 but got no manual so its all trial and error. got a few probs i hope can be sorted with a little help please?
1, when i record a programme i can only get 9 different channels to watch while its recording the full list is not there to scroll through?
2sky premier is not in the programm, e list even with a deep scan?
3, how many channels can i record at the same time and watch another channel like the V+ box?
hope im not a pain?

Hi and welcome to TechWatch

these boxes have only one tuner so
you can only watch another channel that is on the same transponder that you are recording off.
and you can only record one channel at any one time.

for sky premier check to see if it is in the un named channels

hi thanks for the reply. i think you mean if i record a channel that is say from channel 0031 frequencey 651.00 modulator QAM64 then i can only watch channels that come in from that frequencey? and no im a few channels missing and they are not under any other menue? is there a channel list for this box so i can search myself?

yes channel 0031 is transponder 31

if you are missing channels it is best to do a factory default reset and scan directly off the cable feed ie no splitters etc.

hi thanks your advice worked did as you said and found missing channels brill thanks. is there a list that tell you what channels the box office films are on as some channels have no name or epg. loads of channels named tvch1 tvch12 ect. ?

The only way you can get box office films is if someone near you has ordered one and you can pick up the signal, other than that you're 'stuck' with Sky Movies. The TVCh's are often the missing channels you need, you just have to rename them once you've identified what channel they actually are. A case of trial and error really.
