yes can second that,as long as you have access to the reg page you can scan for macs but of course connected directly to the modem and not a router and of course you cant use the macs you scan but you need to swap with someone about 1-2 miles awy or thereabouts.

i dont get this..i thought you had to use the macs on your network/line.

also was wondering if i can use my own subbed modem (mac) on another and have my brother share my usage?

macs need to be within a set area but not the same UBR as if they are within the same broadcast domain there will be problems, anything got passively will be within your broadcast domain and unusable without being traded and dont clone your sub thats asking for trouble if you have a sub just sniff a mac for your bro if hes in a different area to you

i see. well he lives around the corner, but when i asked the installation guy to make his cable feed live, he said he had to go to a different 'green box' even though he around the corner. so macs i get from my computer will work for him?

also does that mean i cant sniff a mac address for myself from my own computer?

also i needed to know if i can have both a sub modem and a hacked one running at the same time, on the same cable that gets split at the box attached to the front of the house?
