hi all due to the 3.7 update my atmega cards no longer work i just keep getting that the card is not inserted properly so decided to do a fun au used NTL_12Nov2009_Shani.hex but when i put the card in the box it says this card invalid can someone tell me what i might be doing wrong thanks

You can't use the Shani fix on an ATmega, it's for Funcards only. You need the ATmega 3.7 fix from the downloads section.

the atmega fix would not work i was using the Shani fix on a fun card but i think i have been using the wrong software to do my exet i was using nec-rev-2015 so i tried to use toxic 7 but avast wont download any says it has a virus so i had one on a disc and windows says i t cant be opened not compatible on windows 7

I am having the same problem with 2 atmega cards. I have used the latest 3.7 fix for my area (TW) with both cards but I keep getting the card is not inserted properly message.

Try your IRD forwards and backwards. Also, double check that the box key is correct and you are not mistaking "0" for "O", "5" for "S" etc.

Its ok I got the bottom of it.

I tried 3 atmega cards all of the same (red on one side and a girls face on the other) and not one of them would work all getting the same card not inserted message.

I have another different atmega card which worked first time.

Did you select the correct EEProm size in your programmer's software? The ATmega cards with the woman's face on are usually ATmega 163s.

Yes Atmega163 is selected. My programmer has always automatically detected this one.

I've never had a problem in the past with these cards only they don't seem to like 3.7.

Ok, but you do realise you need to erase the card 3 or 4 times to ensure that it is blank before you write to it?

I had the same problem wrong card inserted.

drove me mad wondering what was wrong.

it was down to the cam id (redo the cam id)

use the shani fun fix .

and everything should be back up and running m8.
