Default Broken system within 1 day lol..

Hi guys,

Please could you help me out a little, I had a dish installed yesterday , and within 2 hours of playing with it i've broken it.

Right my setup

Dreambox 500s
1m dish
diseq motor

I had a running box on some open pli image, how ever i didnt like the image so i decided to reflash the box, managed to do this just fine, however i found out that I have lost all the freq's which were on my original image, I thought all I had to do was intsert the old freq, and i would then re-add all the different sats I had.

Guys what do i do 2 get all the sats added, and of course on the right freq? Please can someone also suggest a decent image as every one i've tried is bloody hard to use and set up, etc.

I need something idiot proofish tbh, I'm not that bad with tech but this sat is a different world atm

Thanks for any help

AJ

Change the image to Nabilo 0.11 as some images have bugs in when it comes to driving a motor, also use USALS as DiSEqC 1.2 is a no, no on a DM

sorry to trouble you again, erm.. when the guy installed my dish, he told me not to go over 13E, as the dish will hit my wall. If i use USALS, will it try and move the dish all the way to try and find all diff frequencies?

thanks AJ

Download a copy of DreamboxEdit as that makes copying/making channel lists very easy indeed.

I'm sorry but where did you get the idea that diseqc is a no no on a Dreambox? It may be a problem on some clone boxes, I wouldn't know because I only use genuine DMs and they are fine with diseqc.

sorry to be a pain, but how does usals work? I have read wiki on it, but info is very brief. I'm scared if i use usals, the dish will hit my wall and go out of alignment.

could some one please shed some light on this

Thanks AJ
