Hi Chaps

I have got a Scientific Atlanta 2100 modem which is hacked. It has worked perfectly for about 4 months and now its is off. The cable light just flashes and it cannot connect to the internet.

I have done a bit of searching on google and read about Haxorware etc and it may just be a case of me changing the MAC address.

Does this seem likely and how do i find out what i have on the modem (ie Haxorware etc.)

Try going to http://192.168.100.1 in your browser and you should get the haxorware settings page where you can change your mac.

Do you know what the default username and password would be? Cant get in!

No probs, Its usually..

admin
admin

if not try

root
admin

It depends if whoever flashed it set a password for the web gui.

Tried admin/admin etc not working will give the root username a try tonight when i get home from work.

try this below note where the captial letters are as it is case senstive

It seemd to accept that username and pasword, but when it logged in it just gave me a page with html code.

Any ideas?

that modem is running infinite my advice upgrade to the haxo rev39
