Unhappy re dbox prob

hi peeps can anyone point me in the rite direction on how to flash my dbox via ifa, been trying for over a week now and still no joy, i know the basics ie
1 connect cross over cable from dbox to comp
2 connect null cable from comp to box
3 stat ifa select image
4 select card, but when ifa is runnin nothing happens the box just boots up to the last channel it was on, does anyone know were iam goin wrong, thanks..

Power off the box, perform the steps you have just been doing, click flash (or whatever button it is) and when IFA asks you to power on the DBox, plug it back in. You should see green bars moving across the screen as the image is loading to the box and it will probably say something like Laden on the front of the box. If you get a port error (something like 6887) then give your network adapter a static IP address (192.168.0.1 would work).

Make sure your PC nic is set to 10 and 1 half duplex for best results with IFA
Or try a differan version ..................Paul

think vista is a bit iffy with ifa - most use network setting ipv4 instead of 6

change the extension to .doc - all credit to the author
