Default Starview HD Combo Satellite & Cable Receiver

Hello there ,

I would like to buy a Starview HD Combo Satellite & Cable Receiver. But before i wanna know a few thing about the functionality on the box. hope someone out there could help.

1- Can you get all sly sport channel when you connect the box to LAN network ?
2- Do you need a patch to open channel when the box is connected to LAN network ?
3- If yes, is the patch differ from the one use for cable network and satellite dish ?

Your answer will be much appreciate.

I too was thinking about getting one of these boxes, but after reading a few posts on these forums, Eurovox, Starview, Dreambox and Kryptview, it seems that most/all of these boxes will become redundant when Nagra 3 hits the country. I believe that Leeds and some other Yorkshire areas have already been affected. So I might hold out till someone has cracked N3, if that is at all possible. Well, this is my understanding of the situation and I am new to all of this.

Personally i would like a box that allows me to record 2 channels while viewing a third, and as far as i understand it there aren't any, except for Virmin's v+.

yeah me too I have read a few thread about that saying it will affected the cable part. I was wondering if that will also affected the satellite part.
