scanning

hi guys, my modem went off a few months ago so thought i would take a look at it today. Its just stuck on scanning, when i goto freq page it says

annex: docsis
plan: american

when it used to work these used to be
Both
European

i did try to change them but when i reboot the modem it reverts. i tried an upgrade to haxorware v 1.1 rev39 too but made no difference.

wonder if anyone could help me?

oh , the modem i have is a webstar epc2100

sounds stupid but are you making sure your pressing save and waiting for settings saved banner? before reebooting

try restoring factory settings mate? then try inputting all your settings making sure you save along the way. other than that i am pretty clueless to whats causing this.

tried that too, but same thing - yeh its a puzzler isnt it.

Maybe corrupt NonVol? try restoring it with one from a working modem followed by another factory reset and put in your area frequency,depending on your area you will need to set your BPI to 1.0 (1.0 works for me Ex TW) or 1.1 and use Docsis 1.0 mac.
