I have recently bought a Eurovox EX1000SL
i have done a deep scan and located plenty of channels, however, these seemed to be scrambled. I have just updated from a starview, where i could get access to a secret menu by pressing "1570" in the main menu. I have read in many places that for a Eurovox all i have to do is go into the menu, enter the language settings, then press "1969" once, or "19691969" i've also read somewhere else that pressing "Red 2820" will allow me to access the secret menu, however i have tried all of these "methods" many times but to no avail!!! All i am trying to do is to turn the key emulator on, any help on how to actually do this would be greatly appreciated, i have searched for hours now and have read somewhere that this particular model of Eurovox may not allow for the manual insertion of keys, as it is already supposed to be "enabled". does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you kindly. Paul |

Sorry fella
![]() that's what i meant, i tried 1968! not 1969! sorry, bit of a typo! i only recieved this box brand new yesterday and got a note with it saying it had "the latest FTA" firmware installed on it, does this mean that i first have to flash the box in order to access the code menu? or should i be able to access it now? i already have the firmware for my box from the bigmaq toolbar. if this is what i need to do then i'll give that a whirl. Forgive me for the silly typo, any more help greatly appreciated. thank you, Paul |

forums/46754-eurovox-ex1000sl-config-menu.html
(just google exactly what ive wrote above and the thread im trying to link to will show, i've had to use this method because im not allowed to post links yet under the assumtion that im a "horrible horrible noob" or worse, an ad bot )i found this after a quick "now i've actually had some sleep i've come to realise that google is my best friend" search. it outlines my problem perfectly. I'll try flash my box with the firmware i have on my latptop and let you know how i get on.

Now then, im now home from work and attempting to update this softwar, but to no avail.
The cable is plugged into my laptop via usb which is connected to a female-female 9 pin cable that fits into the back of the eurovox. When i open the loader program, and click download, i just get a message saying that the receiver cannot be detected; This is confusing me as everything is connected up correctly, the box is on standby, and i have followed the walkthrough to a tee! is it something to do with the COM ports on my computer? I'm not using them as i explained above, it is running from my laptop via a usb adaptor! Any help appreciated thanks again. EDIT: CLICKED ON COM3 PORT, Getting a message saying "Waiting for the response of your receiver", been waiting 10 mins now , and nothing has happened!!
