By swapping boxes to try and find out whether you have a box problem or dish/LNB problem,

If it is a Thomson HD or Sky+ box, check that its not one that has dodgy caps in the power supply.

Hi it is a bit difficult to understand what you have got and what is connected to what. I assume that you have the TM connected to one dish and the DMM to the other, if that is so then I can't see why one box would affect the operation of the other. If, on the other hand, you have one box looped through to the other then there might be some problem with it then. Can you please give us some more detail on the exact way you have your boxes set up., because if you have the boxes looped through to each other then the first box to receive the signal will hog the signal and the second in line will not be able to operate as it would if it were getting a separate feed from another dish. You say you have quad LNBs if this is the case then try the coax on another terminal and see if that helps.

Hi, got to be something to do with the splitter, I have never used one and not that sure that they would work too well, but some of the other guys will know what the score is with them.

Triax splitter any good?

I just wonder if this previous thread has any bearing on your splitter arrangement?

I dont understand what you mean by a splitter.

You should be using diseqc switches such that each box connects to a diseqc switch and then the two inputs to each diseqc switch connect to the outputs of the two lnbs.
