Default Rover immobiliser.

I used to remove rover immobilisers by phoning the dealer with the chassis number and they would give me a pin code which I entered via the door lock with the key. Since rover have gone out of business I have started modifying the data in the 93c46 on the ECU and removing the alarm unit and bridging the startre circuit. What I was wondering was if I could read a device in either the ECU or alarm unit to and calculate the pin code form the dump?

it should be possible m8 but to be honest its better to do it the way your doing it now, it dont take long and its a permenant fix, the other way of using the code works fine till you disconect the battery and then you need to do it again because immo can reset.
just my opinion tho

Trouble is the fix I'm doing now loses the central locking - a small price to pay for the to be up and running. I did one the other day and my customer has called me back to sort the central locking. I will have to refit the alarm unit, cut an bridge the starter wires and first find then cut and insulate the alarm wires. They know they will have to pay, I told them I did it that way to save them money but once I get the results I will make notes and save them for next time.

sure the last one i did was ok, but i think i might of cut the wires of plug, but there is two types of box i think so maby thats why. but as you say once you sort it and write it down (something i must do more of ) its not a bad job. better idea you sort it out, write it down and then mail your notes to me
