RF Output on FTA 101

I am trying to setup my FTA 101 to allow recording on my Panasonic DVD recorder. I have the FTA101 connected to the recorder via Scart and also the RF output. I have tuned the Panasonic recorder to the RF output channel 38 used by the FTA 101.

When I record the RF output I get a picture recorded but the sound is just White Noise. Can anyone advise me why this might be as it is driving me mad!!

I suspect the RF output is the wrong standard for the DVD recorder (ie PAL B/G not PAL I), why not record via the scart - it would be much better quality

Thanks for the reply - I think the cable box is Pal G - but I seem to remember it is configurable - I will see if I can change it to Pal I.

I also have problems recording via scart - when I try to record AV2 direct (the cable box) I get sound but no picture?

I would try swapping leads around, it could be a faulty scart lead, or you might have to connect to AV1 - sometimes sorting the plumbing is a right pain
