Default Gas pressures

i have a worcester bosch 24i boiler. Roughly twice a year it stops working and every time i call worcester bosch out they say its gas pressures. This costs me over £100 every time as they have a set price to call out. Is this a big job, can i do it myself or do i need to phone someone. Is this done in the boiler or outside. (i dont have a clue) if i need to phone someone out what would be a reasonlable cost.
Thanks in advance

You really need to have someone qualified work on it. If you do it yourself and get it wrong the results could be a disaster.

I don't understand what you mean by Gas Pressure. The supply pressure is kept constant by the govoner on the meter, and shouldn't fluctuate, so I don't understand how you can have the same fault every 6 months.

I have the same boiler and had no problems with gas pressure , someone is playing you mate.

The only problem i have had is that my water pressure dropped over xmas meaning i had no hot water , heating was ok because already in the system .

Turned out next door had a leak and when fixed all was ok .

Your water pressure should be between 1 and 1.5 mate .

That's the heating system preassure I think you mean. Should be between 1 bar and 1.5 bar cold. Around 2.5 hot. Most water mains come in at a substantially higher pressure.

Have you tried reading the manual?

I know nothing about boilers or combi boilers for that matter, but as I understanding it, its a closed loop system, and you need to keep the pressure in the system right. You should have an expansion tank somewhere, with a device to pump in some air, to allow for expansion of the water as it heats up.

Hiya, this is what the report says from the last time they were out to fix my gas pressures.

Increased min gas from 0.2mb to 2.0 mb as boiler struggling to light.

Can anyone tell me what this means

Without knowing what part of the boiler was adjusted it's hard to say what it means

just had a similar problem on my boiler same model as yours water was not getting very hot in the shower

got some plumber out and he found out the gas pressure was very low now im not sure what your guys are adjusting because as far as i know you cant adjust the gas pressure to your boiler

the fault sounds the same as mine which turned out to be a faulty gas valve the part cost me £106 for the part from a plumbing merchant and £60 labour

tried to paste a link but my posts are not high enough to let me but i found the same part being sold on ebay for £88
