Default Tearing My Hair Out!

Hi guys

I'm in the TW area and have been having a problem for a few months with Sly Premier, Premier +1 & Sports 2.

When I first got the box these channels appeared and worked fine. Then I found that if I changed channel and went back I got no or missing video signal. I noticed I was getting a full S bar (signal?) but nothing on the Q bar (quality?).

Now they have dissappeared completely from my channel list. I've tried everything I can think of, reflashing the box, flashing it with an old up-date, deleting all channels and then doing a power scan but nothing works.

I've checked and they are listed on the Virmin list for my area. Another problem I've had is the whole thing freezing up when scrolling through the EPG, particularly on movie channels, and I have to turn the box off with the switch at the back an back on again. But don't know if it's related.

Anyone had the same problem or got any ideas? Or am I doomed not to see the latest films?

Thanx

You are not alone! I posted a thread on this very same problem late last year. I ended up sending box back to the suppliers and got a replacement. Everything was fine for two months then they disappeared again! Dont know if we both have faulty boxes or if there is some other problem. By the way, I am also on wolves1 area code. I have fitted loads for others in Wolves region and none of them have had a problem. Any ideas anyone?

Sounds like a faulty box.

I have the A750 and have only had to powerscan once since buying it nearly 7 months ago,and that was because of a frequencey change on a couple of channels.

i think these boxes can be a bit hit and miss depending on your supplier, the first i was sent went straight back because i couldnt even powerscan because the remote never worked, the replacement has been great (touch wood )

Update!

Cable tv went off completely other two nights ago. When it came back on the kryptview had no channels at all. Did a factory reset and rescanned - all channels came back including the missing ones. So far it works fine (fingers crossed) so it looks like it was a fault at Virmin's end. You can't ring them up and ask though!

PS anyone know a good hair replacement therapy?

mmm might try that - not!!! My phone's with Virmin so they'd know who was calling!

Unfortunately it's been months rather than years, just before they started introducing nag3. I'm lucky like that!
