hi there my old man is in hospital and i would like to get him one of these donlges and unlock it and use the iphone sim etc,

but my idea is, can i skip the usb dongle and just get the iphone sim card / top up a tenner to activate it and then use it in my sony k800i mobile phone and connect this up to the lappy as a modem, and then use the iphone sim in this as my phone is unlocked , as phone can be used as a modem do u think that this is possible as it would save the cost of the dongle , or am i barking up the wrong tree and need the dongle , and if so where is the best place [cheapest] to get the dongle from the zte627 one,

Hi mate im sure you can hook up the phone to laptop and use as a modem,

can anyone else confirm.

cheers, i know the phone can work as a modem, but do u think i can get years freee web access with the iphone sim, in the phone this way!! well i suppose i can alwasy just order the sim, activate it by topping upa tenner and trying it, just dont know if can change all settibngs that need to be changed in the dongle , on the phone or even if id need to!! as mobile is unlocked to any sim anyway!! well if after trying it - if it not work i can always order the dongle then!! but the zte 627 i cant seem to find, is there any other dongles that i can use and unlock!! if so which 1 and where to get it!!
