well i have got it 2 work on 2 boxes

It only works for the first time you get the box. Basically, when the engineer comes out, he does it all there and then but when they asked me if I wanted the box setting up, I said no hence why I was able to set the Net ID myself without a Funcard.

it makes sense that it would work on the box from the box, so the installer could set it up, but if the boxes are from ntl then he wouldn't have to?

one was from a tw area, not my id and one was from a ntl area again not my id and both done and been working for 2 weeks
