Default Getting BBCiPlayer via my Humax Foxsat HD box

Hello to all.

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here's my question.

In order to receive iPlayer on my TV via my Humax FoxsatHD box I need to connect my box to the modem router via an ethernet cable. Unfortunately I can't do this either with a direct cable or through adapters using the mains electric circuit.

Is there some way I can use wifi instead? Is there a possibility of buying a device which would plug into the ethernet port of the Foxsat and convert the signals into wifi?

Alternatively, could I connect the Foxsat to my laptop and use the laptop's wifi connection to reach the modem?

(I realise that I could my latop to access iplayer and connect this to my TV, but unfortunately direct connection of my laptop to the TV is very clumsy and unsatisfactory, and I like to be able to use the new Freesat iPlayer service instead)

Hope someone can help. Thanks

I wasn't trying to hide anything. Yes, I am in France. I can pick up iplayer on my laptop by using a UK proxy. But 'd like to make use of the new iplayer service via my Foxsat.

Get yourself a vpn onto a uk ip or use a proxy site of some sort - although you will run into trouble sooner or later as you are using their resources for transfer of a LOT of data..

Pleae remember if you dont tell the full story to begin with you are liable to get incorrect info supplied.

You can use a wireless gaming adaptor, such as the Belkin gaming adaptors.
Depending on how you receive your internet service,i.e cable or ADSL.
You'll need a compatible model.
Cable broadband
Thats how I access BBC iplayer,on the Humax Foxsat.

Thanks for your replies, but I already have a (friendly) proxy server in the UK.

What I want is an easy way to fool my FoxsatHD that it is connected to it
