Give Ian at Southernsatellite a call mate he will have all you need. The iveco ones seem to be very good.

looking at Megasat 0.1dB Twin LNB

Universal twin output LNB with 0.1dB noise figure. Built to maintain reception through bad weather conditions. Offers an impressive 60dB gain figure.

looks good to me, but then again I'm still learning

Hi mate the only way you will find out about a LNB is to try it, the claims are seldom worth the print that describes them, even LNBs from the same batch will be different, some better than others. I would be more interested in the dish rather than the LNB, in bad weather with a good dish. well installed and a average LNB you will be OK in all but the very worst weather. You also must consider the reception from a satellite, some should not even be receivable in these islands, but are in some areas. The likes of 4 and 7W I have no hope of receiving here without a very big dish, no matter what LNB I have on my dish. Much is made and claimed about LNB performance, but they are all, more or less on a par.

Regards Wez

Great read on db & how lnbs work, some you might pinch a small bit more signel.(not much if you do)As Wez says a dish size up is the better option here.LNBs over the years has been on going in chat whats best.Bigger dish owner will use feedhorns on LNBs.Best tip i will give on LNBs,is try get one with a longer neck.
