He has to keep himself in tthe spotlight, thats how he makes his money these days.

I really wouldn't be expecting anything other than theoretical or overly complex hacks out of him though

there never seems to be any of these so called spanish 'superhackers' ever mentioned in these news articles though, always seems to be just him?
