Dbox2 vers Eurovox

Hi all !

Iam looking at buy a dbox 2 or a eurovox, and was hoping you guys could advise me on which would be the best buy, and the most easy to set up and update for a newbie in this field !

Iam on a telewest line living in bristol area, on the edge of south Gloucestershire.

Welcome to the forum - I would go for a DBox2, they can be setup for basic operation quite easily and have lots of extra features over and above what the Eurovox would do.

I am having problems with my Eurovox and looking for info is harder that the Dbox2. Seems Dbox 2 is much more supported. Just saying that my channels are scanning in - woot looks like problem could be solved as we speak

I would say the D-Box2 is the best option ATM - I prefer Nokia to Sagem

If you want a cable box what works like a cable box get a eurovox max with the updated firmware.

Works a treat, instant channel change, EPG, Almost plug and play, just scan for the channels and there you go.

Had mine a while and im very happy with it. Only thing that worries me is that these boxes are so well known that NTL just HAS to do something soon....

yep, i think VOD is the answer to these boxes, the only boxes to play VOD is the Dbox2, although a bit buggy, but i'm sure there will be somethong more solid in the near future,
