Angry Very very slow donwload speeds on utorrent.

Hi, there a friend of mine has bt unlimited broadband 8mb speed.

When you use web its fast, when you download from websites for example filehippo its fast around 300kb varies.

When you try to download any torrents through utorrent it is unbelievably slow around 3-8kb. pathetic.

They also have a dlink adsl n router, cant remember exact model sorry.

Does anyone know any solutions. Because this is the first time i have ever experienced a problem like this, btw im not a noob with pc's.

I have looked at the routers config page and everything seems normal/default no special firewalls, blockings etc.

And the person definately does not have any antivirus/firewall problems on the pc itself.

Please help out.

It's the router. Using the DMZ bypasses the built-in firewall

Get the user manual for your router mate.

DMZ = DeMilitarized Zone
