Default Laptop is locked!!!!

Hi guys
I have a little problem here, a friend of mine brought me a fujitsu lifebook laptop to sort it out for him but it’s locked via the security access panel i.e it needs a pin entered before I can go any further, is there a way around it or resetting it?
Any ideas guys?

If your talking about a BIOS password, the only way really is to clear the CMOS which will factory reset the BIOS settings... And with it being a laptop, good luck with that, it took me ages to do my mates advent.

Regards

Ive found that most laptop bios locks are stored in a password eeprom on the motherboard rather than the bios had one before on an old dell laptop had to short the eprom to remove the lock

Thanks for you answers guys, this is not the Cmos password it is the access panel that needs the PIN to activate, with out the right PIN many laptop’s functions don’t work including the screen backlight, so nothing comes on the screen i.e black screen, once the right PIN is entered all the functions come to life again including the screen backlight.

Thanks for that m8, will get it a go although it may not help with this laptop coz all the functions are locked including the screen backlight so there is no way for me to change the BIOS setting coz I can’t see nothing on the screen.
I think the only way to sort this out is by locating the security chip and try to read it or short it, but that is just an idea, not have any clue yet
