Default Childrens TV Channels

Hi all,

I was just wondering if someone could fill me in on what's available, in English, as far as childrens TV channels are concerned?

I'm thinking of putting a dish up again, but only if it's worthwhile :P

While I've got your attention, which PVR capable, dual tuner, standard def receiver is best at the moment? Is the Technomate 9100 still around? I remember that being pretty good, and pretty cheap.

Thanks!

The BBC kids channels on Astra 2 thats about it unless you pay for an alternative sub

The 9100 was only a single tuner receiver, there is not much available in SD twin tuners apart from the Arion AF9400 going for £99 down from £300 but you will need to supply your own HDD

Yeah, I was looking at that on your website. What is it like in terms of 'patchability' ?

I wouldn't mind a HD receiver, it's just I have no need for a HD one specifically.

Nothing is open of any interest on a patch now, hence going down an official sub route
