hey huys, I got the leads and jtag utility, read how to flash sb5100 modem. got the firmware. I didn't know u had to solder the 9pin on the sb5100 chipboard.

Anyways I've soldered the 9pin on, but Jtag utility and swatrz won't pick up any connection, it says connection error. What do I do?

I copied some driver files to system32 as was instructed in the guide but not all the files copied over. anyways it wont pick up the modem. Don't know what to do. please someone help me here.

well 1st off it normally a 10 pin header that u solder on

I did solder a 10 pin header but unfortunatley still it says jtag connection error. please can you help me

you have not set the jtag up you need 2 put files in2 c windows the load the 3 files that says load me b4 you can use jtag you will have them on a cd, well thats if your jtag came with a cd

did u buy ur jtag or make it urself, i would go over ur wires if u made it urself, and also make sure u got it connected the right way around. pre-made jtags normally have a red trace towards pin 1.

also wot flash chip is on the modem

I copied the files as instructed into windows system 32 folder and all but except a few went a cross, it would not let me paste a few files into system folder.

I bought the jtag and it came with a cd. There is no firmware on the sb5100i. wanted to flash the orignal firmware with sb5100mod and 2mb dumb.

hi i add the same problem with mine check that the solder is not broke on any off the pinheaders as that was the problem i had
