hi guys, im currently using virmin but my m8 is using sky (freeview channels) and has asked me if its possible to mod his thomson sky+ box to get all the channels. had a snoop around and came up on a post that says that its not possible to get sky-uk on the box's, is that right. is it possible to tune into another sattelite or somthing. any ideas people. cheers guys..

There is ONE way of getting a sky box to show encrypted channels. Call sky and order a sub.

Sky boxes are next to useless for other satellites.

They're not particularly clever. They just have more buying power than other providers and its all money going back in to uncle Rupert's pocket, seeing as though he owns both NDS and Sky. They could have equally paid Kudelski, but I suspect being owned by Murdoch, it may have meant higher share prices for NDS, meaning higher share prices for themselves
