Default What Megapixel?

I have a 5mp camera, and think that is mroe than likely all the resolution I'm going to need. What megapixel camera do you have?

5 megapixels, here, too - and so far the image quality is great and there's no problem with that - just my printer.

I still have 3.2, because I don't really use it that much.

I've got a Samsung with 3 inch screen and 8 Megapixel resolution. The only problem is the images are nearly 4 Mb when you take them!

Ouch! I guess that's a hidden cost to be careful of - the wrong network and that could be expensive.

4 it works perfect for me and sure beats my 2 mega pixel garage door opener. If you do a lot of zooming and cropping a higher MP camera pays way off in the long run.

I have 4 megapixel (olympus ultrazoom) and it's just perfect for me. The quality is excellent. I do alot of zoom stuff (mainly live shows - I animate and project backdrop films for bands so I need shots from the back of the venue) and it's great for additional zooming and cropping.

So the higher the megapixels, the more space each picture will eat up? Does the higher megapixel also deplete batteries faster?
