Apologies for keeping the forums offline for the past few hours - aside from a software update to the site I'm also making preparations to merge Satmoz into Techwatch, in order create bigger and stronger forum.

After the cock-up last week I wanted to make sure there was no chance of the forum database being compromised, hence keeping them offline as a safety measure.

It's not been a smooth process, though, and there are still a couple of small technical hitches I need to sort out being completing the merger, but it's safe to bring the forums back online again.

The merger itself is almost complete but will mean taking TW offline again for about an hour, probably on Monday - but with it almost completed, should mean far less disruption, and once fully merged, should mean TW is bigger and better.

So when you merge both forums, this one will still function as it is now but with added sections available from Satmoz?

Yes, the forums will be merged, so all of Techwatch will remain. New forums will also be created where they don't already exist on Techwatch.

Im guessing not just files, but also new thread staters(whatever you want to call them) will be added

Good question, Ian if my memory serves me right there were files and all sorts on there.

All of the Satmoz areas will be sanitized. Anything dodgy, including files will be removed from the techwatch forums.

Well, that's the way I understand it anyway.

Ah, I saw that they had keys when googling the site and I thought that definitely wouldnt be allowed here lol
