Right at the moment, these two are the cheapest:
Low Energy Light Bulb - GU10 1w LED
who charge £14.43(with delivery) for 3 bulbs

and Accent Light 1W LED Lamp White - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys
who charge £15+5 delivery for 3 bulbs

Have you tried led's in the house before. Totally different kind of light. Not everybody likes them.

No I havent actually. I may just purchase the 1 from eBay as a test first and then replace the others.

Thanks for that Martin. I eventually went for the Deltech DL-9021WW's from a local shop called "Richard Craven" I was charged £5.40 for a bulb that consumes only 2W of power, with a 50,000 hour life

The price seems really reasonable, seeing as though a standard halogen bulb from B+Q works out to cost £2.75 per bulb, and they only have a 1500 hour life span

I installed it and it looks quite cool. It gives out a warm white glow and has no showing of any tint of blue, as others do(I found this out when researching yesterday)

Ill go down on Wednesday to purchase two more now

This is interesting:
LED future bright for Philips

Come 2012, we should see "Philips" LED lights at the pound shop hopefully, or maybe at larger retailers first. They certainly are cheap at 10p for one bulb that last 10,000 hours
