hi, just a question on this BT 10 gig allowance on option 1 which i am on,
it was enough for just me browsing the net and maybe the odd download but now i have bought my kids a PS3 and they are online a lot.

What takes up most of the allowance? ie. surfing the net and -and what kind of sites utube, bbc news,in particular etc. or PS3 streaming?

It doesnt take a lot to use two and a half gig a week, are they downloading music or tv or films ?

download du meter or equivalent & monitor your usage...watch 100mb plus transferred as soon as your kids join the ps3 network

usage is counted for downloads and uploads together,watching/streaming movies,youtube etc all uses a lot of bandwidth, you need to get onto a bigger package allowance cos when you go over a lot of isp's charge a premium for every mb you go over.
