Default sat/terrestrial hd

i was wondering if there going to be this option as free view are launching hd in the summer?

You can get BBC and ITV HD on freesat now. I believe that for freeview HD, you will need a reciever anyway as nearly all TV's with built in DVB-T tuners, won't handle DVB-T2 (hd).

tbh, unless you've bought a TV designed in the last 6 months I doubt any will handle dvb-t2 internally. The chipsets for this system have only just been moved into production.

The BBC really should of sorted this years ago to save people having to buy yet more new hardware.

IMHO the TV manufacturers have deliberatley left it out until now to shift more units. They did exactly the same with DVI and HDCP
