Hi everyone,
I need some help, I have read a step by step guide on how to load haxorware firmware onto a ambit 250 modem and I think I have become successful in doing this as now i can login to 192.168.100.1 and get the haxorware page up. I loaded firmware haxorware rev39 LITE onto my modem and now i need to configer the settings correct as this versions settings appears to be diffrent to old versions for some reason. Also the lights are concerning me as i dont think its normal because I only have the power light on soild, usb light always flashing and the ethernet light blinks slowly. Is this normal and if YES how do I go about getting this modem online once I get a working mac address. |

OK,
I have tried that but nothing much happens still don't connect online the lights are concerning me should they it be power light on soild, usb light flashing and ethernet soild but blinks now and again. I have tried to setup the haxorware settings in the menu how the tutorial guide tells me to but I have noticed that with this new haxorware rev39 version firmware the menu settings is a little diffrent so not sure if all settings are correct. The tutorial says leave the ethernet mac and serial number alone is this correct as am unsure? Please anyones help would be thankful. |

OK,
How do I reflash it I am new to this modem modding. Do I just reflash like the modem has never been done before? If YES what commands do I use after I have entered the file name and it brings up commands to enter like bootloader/image/sector etc. |

Ok,
Just 5 quick questions needs answering first please... 1. When I flashed my modem before I entered image 1 before but with this new image is it sector 0 after entering that do I save parameters to flash YES or NO. 2. Can I just use this flash file you provided me without the firmware flash file I used when doing modems again. 3. What is the diffrents between these flash files? 5. Do I need to enter my mac address in the serial number part and what digits do I change in the USB Mac part. 4. I did become successful in entering my subbed mac into haxorware page and I now get a Virgin Media Activation page coming up once I open the internet. However I still can't access online I did check the log in haxorware and it says Improper Configuration File CVC Format is there a easy fix before going and flahing this modem again can you please let me know ASAP thanks. 1. Yes, sector 0. Save paramters to flash or not - it's up to you. The parameters in question are the items you entered into the bootloader 'p' option. If you say yes, they'll automatically be there next time.
2. Yes, no need for FW image flash, just use the dump. 3. All the settings are already done correctly for you in the dump. 4. That's odd, usually activation page = bad MAC, check it matches the sub properly. 5. Serial number is HFC MAC without the :'s. USB = HFC + 1 |

OK thank you for answering the questions am really thankful for your help. However the last question about the serial number and USB Mac I don't fully understand what you mean (Serial number is HFC MAC without the :'s. USB = HFC + 1) I gusse your trying to say don't use : them in the serial number but use the mac but what does USB = HFC + mean? Maybe this is why I can't get online I am not entering the addressess details correct. Please explain with full detail thanks.
