latest firmware is 8.04e
sounds like you could have a slight signal issue, try scanning directly off the cable feed ie remove any splitters etc. and check all your connections are good

new software is not required as its up to date, are you sure you did a factory re set first ? any way just do it again and again it just may work 4Th time, also there is double BBC one further up that may work.

ref emu go to instalation then pres 1570 and turn on emu.
