That seems a possibility. Someone else was thinking of further than that suggestion.........thinking that you don't even have to be exactly next door...........just get a 2nd (and third and fourth!) legit box/N3 card, then share costs with a pal (pals) who can hook the 2nd (3rd/4th) box(es) to the cable at their house(es), so long as in same area - and former provider - of the cable network.

Yeh....Just take care that you don't have too many boxes suspiciously (suspiciously to Vm that is) on the one bill!! A signal booster may come in to requirements too.

How can you possibly share the box if you are not next door?
How are you going to run the cable to the next street for example?

I have just got my second box for upstairs, because I already have a v+ box downstairs, they charged me 35 quid for the engineer to install it, and 5 pound a month. Now my next door neighbor has broadband only, but I could give him that box and it will work ok, but he can order films on demand, and i would get charged. As long as this box is in the same area, it will work as long as there is a cable feed, but I am getting the bill.

Simple - you take a legit second box/N3 card pairing from house A in street X, drive across town and plug it into the cable feed entering house B in Street Z. It enters the cable nexwork in exactly the same way as if house A has 2 or more distinct cable points (as mine's and many do).

Altho the advertised price is £10 p.m., I notice from the thread on the other sub-forum that a few folk have managed to negotiate a better rate for multi-room. Good going
