Default ambit 256 orignal backup

hi ive done a bit of reading and can only find a tutorial to backup orignal ambit 256 firmware with inserting the mac address but i dont want to do that i want to backup orignal firmware 2mb dump without putting any macs in the dump cuz i want to use haxoware not the orignal firmware so basically want to know how to make a 2mb orignal ambit 256 dump so i can back it up before flashing it with spi using haxoware

That's not what he asked

You can flash it back with the 'noisy' bootloader, or break it up into image, NV and bootloader and flash back with Haxor GUI.

you can re-flash the original dump over hax ive done it a few times when trying to diagnose if a modem is faulty its the same process as flashing hax to make a backup just dump the original mx chip and save it.

Make sure your BIN file sizes are exactly right too. One byte of info incorrect and it will not work. Make 2 backups. Should be 2,097,152 bytes exactly. No more, no less. If these values are different in your 2MB dump, it has not read correctly and your modem will be fooked forever unless you keep on hax

Yep. Won't brick it unless corruption is in BL section, but modem will fail to boot if filesize is incorrect cos BL checks the FW crc before allowing it to boot...

Not bricked, but if his original FW backup is corrupt, he will never get it back to stock if need be. And the E08C013 toolkit is not much good at the mo, so it would be hax or nothing.
