Default Hi can anyone help with explorer 8300 please

Hi i was given a explorer 8300 its not modded and im i just want to use it for the free channels to record etc. im in pure area and when i plug the box in it justs get s stuck on ap52 and won't find the correct net id. is there any way of sorting this. i thought from reading the posts that in pure area net id should find itself. any help would be great cheers in advance people

hi m8 to set net id on that box u could try fun/atmega, but i belive sometimes that can be a pain to do, the only sure way is to lift the 512 chip blank it then re prog it with ur area, that will work..

The box is probably not from his area , the fun/atmega trick only works on blank chips with the net id set to 099999 , it will have no affect on an already programmed chip.

cheers guys, but does anyone now how to force an update on these boxes i know with the sammy boxes you hold a few buttons in and it updates, is there not anyway like this for the explorer 8300 cause that might do the trick. thanks in advance

cheers G77 thats good news if there is, ive looked every in downloads and in your threads but can't find anything about forceing updates on the explorer 8300 is there anychance you could repost it mate thank you in advance

It's not a good idea to force an update on these boxes as it can mess up the software (or so i've been told).
