Default Hey All! With a question.

Name's Mick. Have recently moved back to the UK. Treated myself to a TM-6900 HD Combo Super +, a 1m dish and an irritatingly restrictive TM-2300 Diseqc H-H motor. Also have freesat using old Sky system, and am gleefully just 6 weeks away from the end of my Virgin Cable contract and being able to play with my Sammy 2110c.

Back in the day, I was guilty of contributing to OnDig's demise using my Clanzer build 5 and associated software. And, blow me down, I just found it again.

My reasons for joining the site are obviously to lift my cable and satellite restrictions, and having surfed most similar sites, it would appear that you guys are the most knowledgeable. So I'm looking forward to your help.

First question is probably best posted here before I drop into the main forum.

Is my Build 5 still good for anything? Or put another way. Can it have fun with Virgin and Digital Satellite, and is there the software to back it up?

Cheers guys.

Hi and Welcome to Techwatch Mick.

I'm not knowledgable about the hacking side of things, but welcome anyway.

Hey Robbo!

Thnx for the welcome.

I see you deal with TM stuff. I got something you may be able to help with. My TM-2300 motor, although advertised as H-H, only goes to 55 degrees either way. I dismantled it, and set the screws at at around 75 degrees, but it still only goes to 55. Anyway I can get it to pan a wider angle?

Erm.............anyone????

I've now verified that the Build Five is a Pheonix programmer, but I'm at a loss to find any software for it, even in the download section.

Seems I need Sidewinder. But which version, 1.2 or 1.4, or even 1.4a? Seems to be an argument in the forum. I also need Nagra Edit 4.1. So where will I find thes little ditties (and don't say "in downloads")?

Furthermore, how do I go about a new image to flash to my OSC? And what the hell is an Infinity USB, and do I need one of those too?

Blimey! Never had all this trouble with an OnDig card.
