I use the above cable for pc to tv [HDMI io DVI]

hopefully your tv has an hdmi input [lcd/plasma]

Most HDTVs support only a limited number of resolutions via DVI/HDMI -- usually the standard video resolutions of 1280x720 and 1920x1080.

DVI and HDMI are exactly the same as one another, image-quality-wise. The principal differences are that HDMI carries audio as well as video, and uses a different type of connector, but both use the same encoding scheme, and that's why a DVI source can be connected to an HDMI monitor, or vice versa, with a DVI/HDMI cable, with no intervening converter box.

had this for a couple years now no more 15" pc screen for me now its 40" pc screen..

the image is upscaled to 1080i excellent and sharp. my HD camera photos viewed on this are amazing.

Maybe Original post should be moved to another section as this is in the cable section.

Just use an S-Video cable ,after connected:
1, Press the AV button to S-video mode,
2, restart the computer, start-up time should be able to see the TV show in English interface, indicating a successful connection
3, set the window attribute, the old TV could use 640 * 480 60HZ.
