Default How : Using Remote for both TV and STB?

I have just bought a Vantage HD 8000TS, whose remote control unit has a red ON/OFF button for the TV plus a similar red ON/OFF button for the set-top box.

On page 9 of the manual there are, I think - very complex - instructions for "training" the TV button to recognise your particular TV (I have an LG 22LU4000).

My question: does anyone have personal experience of setting up this remote? Maybe for this particular TV? Because at the moment it's beating me ... it would definitely be easier to use the system, if I could use only the Vantage remote, and put the LG ditto in a drawer.

Anyone?
Thank you.

Thanks, Satsid ... maybe i'm just being lazy but it must be easier just using a single remote :-)
