Default adding a satellite

Hi all,

I have a TM-6800 HD Super receiver motorised with 25 pre-loaded satellites on it, how do I add new satellites to the list.

I have tried changing the Degree so my dish moves to lets say 51.0E blind scan it but it finds no TP's... what am I not doing?

Also can I delete TP's feq which each satellite is not using?

many thanx

I think there's only one TP that can be picked up on 51E, not sure if it's still active.

You can add new sats by going to the bottom of the list, and entering a valid transponder for the new sat.

Yes, you can delete un-needed tps if you want.

The dish needs to be very carefully aligned to be able to track the extremes of the satellite arc.
50º e or w is quite extreme
Your dish may be tracking close enough at 0º, and maybe ideal at eg. +/-20º, then further from ideal at +/-40º until close to each horizon it's just not pointing at the satellites.

Yep, in theory the blind scan should pick it up OK, but if the dish is not aligned properly it won't. Knowing which transponder is possible is useful, you can then check that transponder individually, and alter the motor position. Obviously if the arc's not quite right, it won't fix it, as another trip up the ladder would be needed.

I can't check which TP it was at the moment on my receiver due to docorating, but if you search the forum a bit you will find some posts, pretty sure Analoguesat started the thread, maybe a week or three ago.

Though, I wouldn't bother with 51E personally, there's nowt worth watching.

EDIT,,

This was it

Astra 1F at 51E

..can't check it for you though..

Because blind scanning picks up all kinds of crap as well as watchable channels.

Blind scanning is ok, to locate sat's that you have no valid tp's for.
I had none for 51e. But as robbo says,on sats with loads of channels you get all the crap.
