You'll find that just about every mobile internet package is severly limited. If your lucky, you'll get 1Gig per month before your either disconnected or the provider starts to complain about your usage.

Generally, mobile internet packages meant for phones are VERY unsuitable for use on a PC although they can be useful as an emergency backup or for occasional use. I definately wouldn't be trying to use such things as a main internet link !

totally agree with the above post! mobile internet is meant for occasional use! thats why the three hack got closed down ,, i know some people (d*ckhe**s) that were downloading movies on them !!! pointless!!

the iphone sims are not meant to be used in anything but an iphone.. o2 will know and will close them down unless you are evry lucky and rareley use it.

but if you want to try just stick the sim in any o2 dongle (branded) and it will work without changing anything.
in an unlocked dongle the settings if i remember right could be :

APN WANTS TO BE STATIC = APN.PAYANDGO.O2.CO.UK
USERNAME WANTS TO BE =VERTIGO
ANS PASSWORD = PASSWORD
create a new profile with an unlocked dongle and if its say the e220 you can get 7.2mbps...

but a normal o2 dongle will give you 3.6mbps.

like i say use it wiseley and o2 wont notice you but if they do they kill it off! its your risk.

seriously though is £5 a month for unlimited internet (fair use policy is 2 gig a month) that much to pay? £21 for sim and dongle,, £10 top up gives you two month net,,, i dont see why anyone would look endlessly for hacks!!

thats my 2 pence worth.

regards dave
