my daughter got a voucher for £550 to buy a laptop from comet off the computers for schools program,can any1 tell me what one i should go for as i was looking at a sony one and a mate said your paying for the name?

Hi mate, I would agree with your mate 100%. I have a Viao from new and within 6 months the ink on the keys was disappearing, then the keys got sticky and would not register the strike, I got rid of it at a huge loss. I now have an Acer Aspire 5738Z and it is three times the laptop the Sony was. if I were you I would go to Currys and the rest, make a day of it and have a nice meal out, then you will be in a much better position to decide which is best for you/her. But I would stay away from a Sony.
