hey guys someone gave me this netgear wgr614 v9 as they got a new one.
This router was provided to him by vm wen he joined them.
I download the new firmware from netgear.com and logged into my router i went to router upgrade and tried to upload the file but it says Invalid filename was provided please enter again(i think its locked to vm and needs to be unlocked)

There is a hack for the sky black netgear router and the sagem which involved tricking the router into thinking it had correct files to unlock, you needed to have a copy of the genuine firmware then putting the router into recovery mode then swapping the firmware for the unlocked/public one, dont know if this would work with yours but if you search for sky router hack you should find the required info, one thing do make sure that you get the correct netgear file because if you dont you will brick the router.
