Default news section looks terrible

Tech News

looks absolutely terrible on firefox - internet explorer it looks a bit better.

Using firefox 3.6

The actual news part is only 1/4 of the part of span of the box itself.

Some sites display better in IE, others display better in Firefox.

Hold your horses - just been actively developing it tonight.

Just added a new Ajax tabs section for popular, latest, etc on the right - had a dodgy width element built in though, that I just removed - see how it looks now.

It's more that there's a re-arrangement of ads, but trying to make them work more efficiently (ie, moving ads to the left nav, instead of keeping them in the right nav only).

There's a general aim to try and make the site look more up to date, but there's still plenty of tweaking going on, and feedback is genuinely welcome. It's simply nice to know people actually read the front end as well as the forums.

In all honesty IE is a lot more forgiving than other browsers. I learnt recently that javascript is a hell lot more brutal than HTML

Hm...looking fine here in latest Firefox, Seamonkey, and IE6.

There may be an issue with old CSS files being cached by your browsers, which means if there's a mess, try refreshing the page a couple of times to get the new CSS file to be read, and see if that helps.

If it still looks messy though, please do feel free to post a screenshot and I'll try to debug from that.

although not a bug but would be nice to have only 2 columns and cancel left hand side one. I miss having a little peak into the news story before opening it to see if it is actually anything interesting.

Also makes it easier to read as there is far too much on screen now
