Default Re: Would a diagonal pole mount work?

Thanks for the quick replies. The tube was for something else. I bought a 43cm dish and am going to install it at the weekend. I havent installed a wall mount before. What is the procedure for attaching the brackets in the wall because ive heard you have to use plastic plugs. Would it be that I drill into the wall first, then place the plugs inside and then install the bracket by securing the screws through that? Many thanks again.

For minidishes I use thunder bolts. m10's I think from memory. Drill a pilot hole then screw the bolt into the hole, simple.

Thunder bolts? Never used them. Are they good?

I normally use 60mm M8 coach screws with 10x60 universal plugs from toolstation. They work a treat for minidishes. Might try some thunderbolts too though now Rick.

Edit, maybe not, they're 40p each, plugs and bolts only 11p each, LOL

Spot on for zone1 + 2's. I use them for a few things, If I'm doing alot I will send them in with my impact driver, but for a dish I just use a ratchet and 14mm socket. As long as the brickwork is sound they are a good fix. Anything larger than a zone2 or a solid 60cm I use shield anchors.

I use M10 Nylons and M8 coach screws for small rigs. Larger stuff then anchors. Thunder bolts don't suit all types of brickwork as mentioned.

Re: the fixing for dish, could use the item attached designed for minidishes.

Thanks for all your help. I have successfully mounted the 43cm dish and have alligned it to turksat 42e using the 'transponder 11919v. However I am getting less channels than i have had before. I get the TRT's, TNT, CnnTurk, EuroD, and a few other maybe 15-20 in total. Whereas before I had at least 50. The level is 90ish% whilst quality about 80% which seems good to me. What else could be the reason? As always many thanks for your help
