the voda can be unlocked but after still need the voda software because of the required drivers and then need different software (option) to use different sims, most voda sims are data enabled already if not just call them and they will check your sim to make sure its the correct type and then they will enable it over the air for free.
there are two types of 3g quads, make sure if you do pay to unlock you get the correct details from your card cos dcunlocker dont give refunds. try latest voda software latest version is 9.3.3 its over 85mb |

in the main panel click manage connections, click the view box,if you are on contract you will see vodafone uk for contract this is already setup but for payg you need to do the following.
Click "new" In the name box type vodafone PAYG or anything else you like which will identify your payg account click on the APN tab and change the name to "PP.vodafone.co.uk" without the quotation marks there should be a tick in use authentication and the user name is web and the password is web. Click ok twice and you should be back in the main connect page remove your card and reinsert it, if you have done everything correctly the card should attempt to connect,a box will pop up asking to connect or cancel,if you want to go online click connect and you are online. The pp.vodafone.co.uk and password should be changed to your providers details, some are listed here O2 GPRS settings (Email/Web): Homepage: http://pda.o2.co.uk/ APN address: mobile.o2.co.uk Username: mobileweb Password: password Session type: Continuous / permanent Authentication: Normal Security: Off Email servers (POP): mail.o2.co.uk Email servers (SMTP): smtp.o2.co.uk DNS Servers: 193.113.200.200 and 193.113.200.201 Note: The "Mobile Web" service must be enabled for these settings to work. * We've also been told of an alternative username of 'faster', with a password of 'password' Contact o2 Customer Services to get this enabled.
