hi,as you are probably aware i have lost most of my channels & i have only had the box since oct,as there seems little chance of getting the channels back, should i load the original software & return it to them as alot of channels inc the bbc hd now wont work!! and it was sold as an hd box,
1.would any body have the orginal software download?
2,any one got any tips or advice on other digital system to go for?

thanks

Problem you'll have is that the boxes are never sold as being able to receive anything other than FTA programmes. The fact that it's a HD box means that it will still receive HD programmes. If you load the original software on to it and use it as a freeview box, then it should still receive BBC1 HD, in which case you won't get a refund.

As far as other digital systems there is a small, little known company called SKY who may be able to help you. There is also one called Virgin Media. Apparently they're becoming quite popular too.

Don't honestly know as I don't use the same box that you have, but downloading the Big Maq toolbar (Google it, I'm sure you'll find it) then have a look in the sections on there. HD is a digital signal so I would imagine you'd need to get it through Virgin Media as the signal through your aerial will be analogue, although I am prepared to be corrected on that.

I think the only way to go will be to subscribe to a digital service from either Sky or Virgin.
