Default Baffled

I have a Samsung 2110c with 1 month of Virgin contract remaining.

I have a Clanzer build 5 programmer, which I'm told is a Phoenix. - Used to do the OnDig Cards with it. I also have the PSU and serial printer cable, and it all works. I have windows XP on my PC and Windows 7 on my laptop.

I'd like to read the relevant details from my card, and you know the rest.

Firstly I'd like to know if I need any other hardware, and secondly, I'd like to know where to get the correct Sidewinder and Nagra Edit software, and any other software that I might need.

Basically, can you guys give me an idiots guide from scratch, (bearing in mind that I'm not entirely a noob, but it seems a darned sight more complicated than OnDig card programming) and point me in the right direction of the required software (and don't say the download section, cos it aint there)?

Until N3 is cracked, and apparently the people at nFusion have done that, so it's only a matter of time till it becomes common knowledge. So I could practice on the current system and save asking you guys this same question in about a years time.

Great Andy. Thanks for that. I take it you don't read the numerous threads where people are saying they can't find the software in downloads even after a 3 day search. Personally I wasted a good few hours looking, and I found no Sidewinder download link, nor Nagra Edit.
I remember when NTL changed from the much hacked analogue system to digital. "It can't be hacked" was the cry, but that's history. N3 isn't the end of it, it's just that it doesn't need to be hacked yet, so no-one is putting the effort into it. Give it time.

Has nFusion cracked the N3 encryption? | N2News FTA keys, FTA files, and FTA News - Check it out.

FYI, Kudelski Group produce the Nagra 3 codes, and have invented all 3 of the Nagra codes. Are you aware what it takes to crack them? Only one person has, his name is Chris Tarnovsky, a German. All Nagra hacking has been developed from his original hack. Now he's employed by the developers. So we have to wait for the hackers to successfully peel away the 3 extra layers of silicone security the chips are using. With a powerful electron microscope and several different acids and lasers until they get to the final bottom 3 layers where all the precious codes are hidden. This is why only the best hackers (engineers) have the ability to do this type of work. Then you'll be able to use your Phoenix.

All the stuff you need is in downloads, if you cant find downloads its here http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/25...oad-links.html
Look in other cable tv.

All that tarnovsky stuff is old news, if you did a bit more research on N3 you would see its not that simple.

btw, that link you posted is nearly a year old. I wonder why there's nothing later on the subject ?

Yawn - Not another Tarnovsky post !

This guy did NOT hack N1. He simply used information that was fed to him. Anybody with half a brain could of got the job done with what he was given.

But nobody did, and I'm fully aware that he used leaked bin files. I was just pointing out that you can't just shut the door and say "No Go", because we, for all the testosterone, are not able to access the equipment needed to do what's required.
